Towing in Louisville, Kentucky

A Louisville towing company, based in Louisville

502 Towing & Recovery runs its Louisville trucks out of 4120 Bishop Ln, Louisville, KY 40218. Being in the city means a truck is usually already close when you call, instead of driving up from out of county.

What our Louisville towing company does

• Private-property impounds: posted-sign enforcement, sticker programs on request, and permit checks.
• Light and medium-duty towing for passenger vehicles, pickups, vans, and small box trucks.
• Roadside assistance: jump starts, tire changes, lockouts, and fuel delivery.
• Accident towing and winch-outs, including debris removal from the travel lane.
• Fleet and commercial accounts with dedicated dispatch and lot patrols.

Neighborhoods we cover

Downtown, NuLu, Old Louisville, the Highlands, Germantown, Schnitzelburg, St. Matthews, Crescent Hill, Butchertown, Clifton, Portland, Shively, Okolona, Fern Creek, Jeffersontown, Middletown, Valley Station, Newburg, Buechel, Audubon Park, Highview, and the rest of Jefferson County. If you're near the county line, call anyway — we usually still cover it.

Regulations we work under

We follow Louisville Metro Codes and Regulations, including the LMCO 115 series, and the Kentucky state towing rules under KRS 281. For a private-property tow that means posted signage, documented authorization from the owner or their agent, and a photo record of the removal.

Highways and problem spots

A lot of our Louisville calls come off I-64, I-65, I-71, and the Watterson. If you're on a shoulder, get out on the passenger side and stand behind the barrier — tell dispatch your nearest mile marker and direction of travel and we'll find you faster.
