Electric and hybrid vehicles need specialized handling, not guesswork. Our EV/Hybrid program uses flatbed transport, OEM transport modes, and no-drag procedures to protect motors, inverters, battery packs, and cooling systems. Every call is photo-verified in TowBook and aligned with LMCO/KRS requirements where applicable.
What We Tow
Battery-electric (BEV): Tesla, Rivian, Ford Lightning, Mustang Mach-E, Kia/Hyundai EVs, VW, etc.
Plug-in hybrids (PHEV): Wrangler 4xe, RAV4 Prime, Pacifica Hybrid, etc.
Conventional hybrids (HEV): Prius family, Escape Hybrid, Accord/CR-V Hybrid, etc.
EV/Hybrid-Safe Procedures (Damage-Prevention First)
Flatbed preferred: full lift—no drive wheels rolling.
Transport/Service Mode: engage OEM ship/transport mode or “tow mode” before loading.
12-V system check: stabilize low-voltage battery to keep contactors/modules happy.
Approved tie-downs: frame-safe points, wheel nets, soft straps; no subframe pinch on HV zones.
Cooling & park lock: observe OEM guidelines for e-park, parking pawls, coolant loops, and thermal management.
No neutral? No problem: controlled winch-on with skates or GoJaks; never drag locked wheels.
Low-clearance care: extended ramps, approach boards, and underbody awareness to protect aero shields and battery trays.
When to Use EV/Hybrid Towing
High-voltage warnings, “reduced power,” or over-temp messages
Dead/locked vehicle, keyless issues, or bricked 12-V battery
Collision/curb strikes (battery enclosure inspection recommended)
Water intrusion/flood exposure (quarantine and safe handling)
Long-distance transport to dealer/body shop/EV specialist
Step-By-Step (What To Expect)
Dispatch intake: model/trim, drivetrain, alerts, access/garage height, key/fob status.
Arrival & assessment: TowBook photos, fault description, OEM transport mode steps.
Load & secure: low-angle approach, soft straps/wheel nets, HV-safe tie-downs only.
Transport: smooth acceleration/braking, route planning, proactive ETA updates.
Drop-off & proof: delivery photos, time stamps, and an itemized invoice.
Equipment Snapshot
Late-model carriers (flatbeds) with low deck angles
Wheel nets, soft straps, skates, GoJaks, ramps/boards
Jump packs & stabilization for 12-V systems (non-intrusive)
Cones, scene lighting, reflective PPE; spill kit and isolation procedures
What We Don’t Do (Clarity = Safety)
No high-voltage component repairs on scene
No bypass of OEM safety interlocks or software locks
No dragging of drive wheels—ever

Quotes reflect mileage, access (garage height/ramps), running vs. non-running, winch-on needs, after-hours windows, and specialty equipment. You receive a clear, itemized invoice.
Property-Manager Note (Private Property)
We provide ordinance-aligned enforcement with TowBook photo logs, violation notices on non-immediate issues, and compliant authorizations to keep EV/Hybrid spaces and chargers clear.
Owner Prep Checklist
Keep the key/fob available; share any PIN-to-drive/valet modes
Note active warnings/alerts; provide charger type if connected
Remove valuables/loose items; share gate codes/garage height
If safe, do not attempt repeated restarts on HV faults or after flood exposure
