Frequently Asked Questions
Straightforward answers about how we work, what things cost, and what you need to bring. If yours isn't here, call dispatch and ask.
Getting a truck to you
Are you available 24/7?
Yes. Dispatch runs around the clock and drivers are on call days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
How fast can you get here?
Response times vary with traffic and distance. Most in-city Louisville calls are under 30 minutes. You'll get a real ETA on the phone and an update from us if anything changes.
What areas do you cover?
Louisville and Jefferson County, Shepherdsville and Bullitt County, Oldham County, and nearby Southern Indiana. If you're close to the edge of that, call anyway — we can usually still help or point you somewhere that can.
What types of vehicles can you tow?
Cars, crossovers, trucks and SUVs, and medium-duty vehicles up to and including an F-450. Also motorcycles, EVs and hybrids, classic cars, and boats and trailers. Anything heavier than an F-450 is heavy-duty and outside our scope.
Pricing and payment
How are fees determined?
By service type, distance, vehicle condition, whether winching or special equipment is needed, and any storage time. You get an itemized invoice either way.
Do you give prices over the phone?
Yes. A live dispatcher will tell you the price and the ETA before you commit to anything.
How do storage fees work after an impound?
Daily storage begins once the vehicle arrives at the lot. Rates and itemized fees are shown on the receipt and align with the applicable LMCO and KRS rules. Call as soon as you know your plan — storage is the part that grows.
What payment methods do you accept?
For towing and roadside assistance, cash or card — you pay the driver on scene. Impound releases at the lot are cash only: no cards, no checks, no electronic payments. Those are two different situations, so check which one applies to you before you travel.
Collecting an impounded vehicle
What do I need to pick up my vehicle?
Government-issued photo ID, current vehicle registration with a matching VIN, and payment for all applicable charges. Read the vehicle release process page in full before you travel — the requirements are strict.
Can I get personal items out of the car first?
No. Personal property is released with the vehicle, not before. The one exception is clearly labeled prescription medication, retrieved by our staff when the owner's photo ID matches the label.
Do you provide after-hours releases?
Where permitted, yes, and an after-hours gate or release fee may apply. Call ahead to schedule rather than turning up.
The police had my vehicle towed. Can you release it?
We do not tow at the direction of law enforcement and cannot process police holds or release authorizations. If an agency ordered the tow, the vehicle is with a different operator and that agency can tell you which one.
For property managers
Do you offer patrol and call-in options?
Both, and a hybrid of the two. Choose patrol for proactive enforcement, call-in for on-demand removals, or a mix tuned to when your lot actually fills up. Hours, zones, and rules are set per community.
How do you verify violations on private property?
With photo documentation: the signage, the vehicle's position, the plate and VIN, and the violation details, all time and location stamped. That record is what settles disputes.
Are you compliant with Louisville Metro ordinances and Kentucky statutes?
Yes. Our processes, documentation, signage guidance, and authorization flow are built around LMCO and KRS requirements.
What does an enforcement program cost the property?
Standard enforcement programs generally cost the community nothing, since the vehicle owner pays on release. Patrol schedules and signage packages are quoted per property.
